Injuries and disorders treated at the Center for Children include:
- Neuromuscular diseases such as Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Brachial Plexus injuries, Arthrogryposis, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal cord injuries
- Growth disorders such as pituitary and genetic dwarfism
- Eating disorders such as pediatric obesity
- Rheumatologic disorders such as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Orthopedic disorders such as simple and complex fractures, clubfeet, bone and soft tissue tumors, congenital dislocation of the hip, sports injuries and Blount's disease, limb deformity
- Pediatric spinal disorders such as back pain, scoliosis, spinal deformity, cervical spine instability and spinal tumors
Primary care will also be provided to those children already receiving treatment at the Center for tertiary care. Adults will also be treated at the Center for Children when their condition
will benefit from a field of expertise that has been developed among the staff. Specifically, adults with spastic disorders such as brain or spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, limb deformity, and young adults
with early osteoarthirtis are anticipated to benefit from the services provided at this facility. Further, a young adult clinic will be established so that the children who have received treatment at the Center
can continue treatment with their long-standing physicians.
