The
First Chance Program is a centerbased pediatric program at the Hospital For Joint Diseases. We provide services for children birth through age five who present with Developmental Delays, Speech Language Delays,
Cognitive Impairments and other Health Impairments.Children receive Educational services in a small structured classroom with certified Special Education Teachers and Teacher Assistants. We offer ½
day (2 1/2 hours) programming 12 months a year. In addition Speech Language, Occupational and Physical Therapies are provided for your child as specified on their I.F.S.P. (Individual Family Service Plan) or
I.E.P. (Individual Education Plan).
We offer parent Educational/Support Groups, Psychological Services and individual Psychosocial counseling for our families.
