services at the Hospital for Joint Diseases are provided by the world-
renown physicians of the NYU-HJD
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 1997, the orthopaedic departments
at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and NYU Hospitals Center formally merged
into one department. This created one of the largest, most comprehensive
